MARCUS BRUNO SOARES FORTE
Prof. Forte is currently an Assistant Professor in Food Engineering Faculty (FEA) at UNICAMP. His research focuses in Bioprocesses, Bioreactors and Bioproducts, applied in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, biofuels industries, through fermentative and enzymatic processes from agro-industrial residues as substrates. He aims the integration of the food and bioenergy research fields to obtain high-added value bioproducts with potential applications in medicines and foods (such as xylitol, arabitol and others) as well as biofuels (such as second-generation ethanol and biodiesel). His experience also includes downstream processing by adsorption columns and ultra/nanofiltration processes, alternative pretreatment of lignocellulose biomasses (using ionic liquids) and heterogeneous enzymatic reactions development and optimization.
