Full Professor in the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Granada (Spain) and Head of the Research group “Intestinal Immunomodulation” of the Institute of Biosanitary Research in Granada (Spain). The research has been focused on the evaluation of active compounds and functional foods on intestinal inflammatory conditions and metabolic syndrome, related to immune response and its impact on intestinal microbiota.
