Dear researchers, organizers, students, and science enthusiasts,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you all to the 1st Galoá Congress on Communication and Scientific Innovation (CGCIC).

Over the years, Galoá has worked side by side with the Brazilian academic community, operating behind the scenes to simplify event management and democratize access to knowledge through the indexing of proceedings. Our mission has always been to ensure that science never stops. Today, we decided to take a step further and bring together the brilliant minds who use our platforms to debate, together, the very future of the scientific ecosystem.

In this historic meeting, our goal is to take technology out of the role of a mere "tool" and place it center stage as a protagonist in the dissemination of knowledge. We have prepared an intense and enriching program, structured around three main tracks:

• The Future of Academic Publishing: How artificial intelligence, Open Access, and new impact metrics are redefining the way we evaluate and consume scientific articles.

• Innovation in Event Management: Exchanging experiences on hybrid formats, participant engagement, and how to create more inclusive, sustainable, and geographically borderless congresses.

• Preservation of Scientific Memory: The importance of proceedings and the challenge of keeping research alive, accessible, and indexed for future generations of scientists.

More than lectures and roundtables, CGCIC was designed to be an authentic networking space. We want you to connect in the hallways (physical and virtual), form new institutional partnerships, and share the challenges and solutions of everyday academic life.

Enjoy every session, interact with your peers' posters, ask hard questions, and let yourselves be inspired. Science is built on dialogue, and we are honored to provide the space for it to happen.
