CALL FOR PROPOSALS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOOL OF BIOMECHANICS - BAURU (EBB)
The Brazilian Society of Biomechanics (SBB) along with the Organizing Committee of the XX Brazilian Congress of Biomechanics (XX CBB) will hold on April 18, 2023 (a day before the beginning of the XX CBB - April 19 to 22, 2023), the first edition of the School of Biomechanics - Bauru (EBB). The international speakers invited to the XX CBB will teach during the EBB. The activities will occur from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) – Campus Bauru and there will not be fee for selected graduate students and post-doctoral students. The lectures will be given in English and there will be no simultaneous translation.
1. Purpose
Provide discussion on current topics in biomechanics and interaction between graduate and post-doctoral students and international researchers invited to the XX CBB.
2. Registrations
Master's, doctoral and post-doctoral students associated with SBB and enrolled in XX CBB may apply for this activity.
I. Application must be made in the participant area from December 1st to January 15th, 2023.
II. Applications must be accompanied by the following documents:
a) Letter of interest (in English) containing a statement of personal goals and reasons for participating in the EBB.
b) Summarized Curriculum Vitae (in English) with a list of publications, papers presented at conferences and participation in scientific conferences.
c) Declaration of enrollment for master's and doctoral students.
d) Declaration that you are participating in a post-doctoral program issued by the Institution (University or Faculty) (only for post-doctoral students).
e) Document proving English proficiency or a letter from the supervisor or supervisor attesting to the master's, doctoral or post-doctoral student's proficiency.
f) Full name, address, telephone numbers and e-mails of the master, doctoral or post-doctoral student
3. Selection of students
I. Proposals will be analyzed by a Scientific Committee of the XX CBB, which will use the following evaluation criteria:
a) Relevance of scientific production.
b) International experience.
c) Personal goals and importance of participation in EBB.
d) Research group (the vacancies will be equally distributed among the research groups on Motor Behavior area in Brazil).
II. The result will be available by February 1, 2023, on the SBB and congress webpages and by email to all applicants.
