Chemical signals in ecological interactions by metabolomics

Metabolomics approaches give chemical information about low molecular weight compounds from systems, cells or individuals, resulting more holist chemical data of systems. It is a powerful technique to get information about the chemical compounds from nature and to understand the ecological interactions and evolution. The chemical connections and responses such as for the plant-plant interactions, the chemical effects on plant metabolism of fire in the Pantanal and the microbiome will be discussed and presented.
