MSc Fabio Ceneviva Lacerda de Almeida
UFRJ - Brazil - Biological

Fabio holds a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of São Paulo (1988), a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of São Paulo (1994), and conducted post-doctoral research in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance of proteins at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). His expertise lies in the field of Biochemistry, with an emphasis on the structure and dynamics of proteins using NMR. His primary research interests include the excited states of thioredoxins and their implications in catalytic mechanisms, the structure and dynamics of capsid proteins of flaviviruses and the mechanism of viral capsid formation, and the mechanisms of thioredoxin transnitrosylation.
