Ivan dos Santos Oliveira Júnior

Ivan holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1985), M.Sc. in Physics from the Brazilian Center for Physics Research (1988) and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Oxford (1993). He has experience in Physics, with emphasis on Magnetic Materials, Magnetic Properties, NMR instrumentation, Quantum Computing by NMR, and NMR applied to the study of porous media. He is the NMR group leader at the Brazilian Center for Physics Research (CBPF). He is author of the textbook "NMR Quantum Information Processing" (Elsevier), and is co-author of "Magnetism and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in Solids" (Wiley). In 2020, he published "Quantum Physics, fundamentals, formalism and applications" by Livraria da Física. Currently, he is the Coordinator of Condensed Matter, Applied Physics and Nanoscience at CBPF. He has more than 120 published articles, 15 doctoral supervisions, and 13 masters. CNPq Researcher 1C, CNE Fellow, H-Factor 26, 2181 citations (Web of Science, January 2022).
