Doing Reflexive and Imaginative Research

Often research is (more or less) correct but trivial. A strong emphasis on ’data management’, type collecting a lot of data and codification proceeding from a narrow body of knowledge means that research becomes cautious and do not say that much. The talk presents some methodologies for making research more imaginative, novel and insightful: Identifying and challenging assumptions in a field, working with mysteries, constructing new phenomena and scouting for gold-nuggets in research.
