Specials

Category:

Madrid (Spain)

Place:

Aula Magna (Ground Floor)

Date and time:

16:30 to 17:10 on 01/20/2026

Experience an authentic flamenco journey blending powerful vocals, masterful guitar work, and expressive dance.

The performance begins with an expressive cante jondo and guitar piece, offering a powerful introduction that captures the essence of traditional flamenco. It then moves into a vibrant number combining singing, guitar and dance, showcasing contrasting elements and greater dynamism. This is followed by a lighter and more upbeat tangos flamencos piece, designed to lift the mood. The programme continues with sevillanas accompanied by castanets, where the singer also joins as a dancer, adding an engaging and lively touch. The show may conclude with an optional end-of-fiesta bulerías, bringing an energetic and festive finale.

Flamenco is a traditional Andalusian art form that weaves together song, guitar and dance to express deep emotion and cultural memory. Although its roots lie in southern Spain, Madrid has become one of the most important centres for flamenco today, home to renowned tablaos, influential artists and vibrant creative communities. The city plays a key role in preserving the tradition while also fostering innovation, making it a reference point for experiencing flamenco in all its forms.
