PhD Beata Emoke Madari

Beata Madari is an agronomist with a Ph.D. in Agronomy, specializing in Soil Science. A researcher at Embrapa since 2002, she currently works at the Embrapa National Research Center for Rice and Beans, where she also serves as the executive secretary of the research project management committee on climate change. She has extensive experience in carbon and nitrogen cycling in terrestrial ecosystems, particularly in tropical acid soils under annual crops and integrated systems. She has contributed to the IPCC and the UN Global Compact Initiative, in addition to serving on international scientific committees such as 4 per 1000 and the Advisory Panel of the United Nations Environment Programme. Author of about 80 scientific articles, she leads the Brazilian Chapter of the International Humic Substances Society and continues to contribute to advances in soil science and agricultural sustainability.
