Maurício Roberto Cherubin

Professor in the Department of Soil Science at the “Luiz de Queiroz” College of Agriculture - University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP) and Deputy Director of the Centre for Carbon Research in Tropical Agriculture (CCARBON/USP). His research aims to quantify and understand the impacts of land use and management practices on soil health, carbon dynamics, crop yield and resilience and the provision of ecosystem services in agricultural and natural ecosystems. Prof. Cherubin is the coordinator of the Brazilian Soil Health Partnership, Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Science and since 2021, has been listed as one of the world's most influential scientists.
