PhD José Ricardo Pérez Correa

Prof. Pérez-Correa received his BSc and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering in 1982 from the University of Chile. In 1987 he was awarded the Diploma of the Imperial College and a PhD degree from the University of London. In 2011, Prof. Pérez-Correa was appointedFull Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. His research interests include extraction and purification of natural products, as well as modelling, control and optimization of chemical processes and bioprocesses. He has held visiting positions at Imperial College (London, 1989), Carnegie Mellon University (2001, Pittsburgh), Universitat Rovira i Virgili (2009, Tarragona) and Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2017, Florianopolis).
