Renato Borges Pereira

Renato Borges Pereira is an Agronomist and the Latin America & Africa SPD People Development Leader at Corteva Agriscience. With nearly four decades of experience in seed R&D, he has a distinguished track record of leading high-performance maize breeding programs for major agricultural enterprises, including Dekalb Genetics, Bayer CropScience, and Dow AgroSciences. Over his career, he has driven the development of dozens of commercial tropical maize hybrids, spearheaded the modernization of breeding programs through doubled haploid technology, and currently directs regional talent development initiatives and institutional relations across Latin America and Africa.
