Felipe Lopes da Silva

Felipe Lopes da Silva is an Agronomist and Associate Professor at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), where he serves as the Coordinator of the Soybean Breeding Program. His career includes experience as a scientific researcher at EPAMIG and serving as President of the Minas Gerais Regional Board of the Brazilian Society of Plant Breeding (SBMP) from 2015 to 2017. His research focuses extensively on soybean breeding, quantitative genetics, and genetics for disease resistance, enhanced by postdoctoral training at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign centered on soybean cyst nematode resistance.
