Henrique Marques-Souza is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Tissue Biology at the Institute of Biology (Instituto de Biologia), University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. His work focuses on functional genomics, molecular tools including CRISPR-Cas9 and RNA interference (RNAi), and transcriptomics (RNA-seq) to understand gene function in development, physiology, and pest/pathogen interactions, with the aim of developing biotechnological applications for agricultural pest and disease control.
