Inácio de Barros

Inácio de Barros holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Hohenheim-Stuttgart, Germany, and completed postdoctoral research at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Brisbane, Australia. From 2004 to 2010, he served as a researcher at CIRAD and INRAE. Since 2011, he has been affiliated with Embrapa, where he works in the field of sustainable agricultural production systems. His research is centered on the application of systemic approaches and design science to the development of sustainable production systems tailored to site-specific conditions and to production goals encompassing multiple attributes. His current work focuses on the development of integrated crop-livestock-forestry (ICLF) systems for dairy farming and on biomass production for energy purposes.
