12-Application of Spatial Statistical Methods for Geographic Data Analysis

Type:

Short Course

Category:

SHORT COURSE

Place:

FORTE

Date and time:

11:00 to 21:00 on 04/02/2023

This mini-course, theoretical and practical, aims to present spatial analysis techniques in the context of geoprocessing studies, including: Analysis of Point Distribution Patterns and Analysis of Area Patterns. Such Techniques make explicit use of the location of phenomena and assume that there is something special about spatial data, whose location makes a difference. The objective of spatial analysis techniques is to describe existing patterns in spatial data, preferably establishing in a quantitative way the relationships between different geographic variables and also in the generation of new scenarios for monitoring, intervention and other purposes.
