08-Earth Observation Data Cubes and Satellite Image Time Series Analysis

This 8-hour mini-course presents an introduction to the concepts of Earth observation data cubes and time series analysis of remote sensing images. The course will be both theoretical and practical (R language). Data cubes and software packages created by the Brazil Data Cube (BDC) project (http://brazildatacube.org/) will be presented and used. The BDC products will be presented alongside with tools to access and discover its data, tools to extract time series and land cover trajectories and lastly the SITS package, a R toolkit that handles from sample evaluation to time series classification.
