THEMATIC SESSION

Place:

SAMBAQUI 1

Date and time:

11:30 to 13:40 on 04/05/2023

In the dynamic and vast universe of Remote Sensing, new applications and research perspectives emerge yearly, covering the most diverse scales and landscapes. It has been the case with the use of sensors integrated into Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS). To gather and demonstrate potentialities and technological innovations in this topic, we propose this special session, including sensors, aerial platforms, and protocols for aerial surveys and digital data processing, applied to the agricultural and environmental fields. Thus, the session will focus on approaches involving: obtaining and analyzing biophysical parameters related to the Restoration and Recovery of Degraded Areas; digital processing and artificial intelligence for Sustainable Forest Management and Forest Inventories; spectral analysis of vegetation associated with phenology, and the use of Integrated Fire Management in Conservation Units; use of techniques and data obtained by multispectral sensors and LiDAR, integrated into RPAS, for the mapping and management of planted forest or native environments
