1. General Submission Guidelines š

š The submission system will only allow abstract submissions from authors who are already registered and have completed payment by July 31, 2025.
-
š¢ A maximum of one (1) abstract may be submitted per registration.
-
š Abstracts must be written in English.
-
ā Duplicate submissions of the same abstract will be rejected.
-
šÆ Abstracts should align with the scientific themes of Prion 2025 (listed below).
2. Presentation Modalities š¤š
-
š£ļø Oral Presentation: Available only for submissions with payment confirmed by June 30, 2025. Each speaker will have 10 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for discussion.

š Poster Presentation: Posters should be 90 cm Ć 120 cm (W Ć H) and will be displayed for the entire duration of the meeting.

š Selection Process for Oral Presentations: Oral presentations will undergo a peer review selection process. Authors will be informed of the final decision after evaluation. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be automatically reassigned as poster presentations.

š Authors must indicate their option for oral presentation during submission.

š All Abstracts must be presented as posters.
3. Abstract Formatting Rules šļø

š¢ Title: Concise and descriptive, in sentence case.
-
š©āš¬ Authorship: List all authors in order of contribution, including institutional affiliation(s). The presenting author must be clearly identified.

š Body of Abstract: Maximum 250 words, including the following sections:

š Introduction: Context and relevance of the study.
-
šÆ Objectives: Clearly stated research objectives.
-
š¬ Methods: Key methodologies employed.
-
š Results/Discussion: Quantitative or substantial qualitative findings and interpretation.
-
ā Conclusion: Significance of results.
-

š« Figures and Tables: Not allowed.
-
ā References: Should be avoided unless absolutely necessary.

š° Funding Information: If applicable, funding sources should be acknowledged at the end of the abstract.

5. Review Process and Selection Criteria š
Submitted abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee, which reserves the right to accept, reject, or suggest changes to the presentation format. Abstracts will be evaluated based on:

š Scientific merit and originality.

šÆ Relevance to the congress themes.
-
š§Ŗ Quality of methodology and results.
-
š Potential impact on the field of prion research.
-
āļø Clarity and coherence of the abstract.
6. Publication and Ethical Considerations š

š Accepted abstracts may be submitted to the Special Issue of Frontiers in Neuroscience: Unfolding Aggregation: Pathological and Functional Roles of Amyloids in Neurodegeneration and Beyond.

š Abstracts must present substantial results ā submissions with minimal information or statements that results will be presented later will not be accepted.

7. Submission Process š©
