Campinas - SP

Campinas is a pleasant city with ca. 1 million inhabitants, with many options for culture and leisure, located 100 km from the city of São Paulo. Campinas is also one of the main airway hubs in Brazil (Viracopos airport, VCP) well served with direct domestic flights to most of the important and touristic places within Brazil plus a couple of international flights.

 

Travel to Campinas

Logistics

Participants arriving at São Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos/Cumbica (GRU) may commute to Campinas via shuttle service (LIRABUS), train + bus, taxi/Uber, or car.

 

The shuttle departs from GRU's Terminal 2 (Platform 10) daily at 6:30 am, 8:30 am, 10:30 am, 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 9:30 pm, and 11:00 pm (BRT). The estimated travel time to the Campinas bus station is 2 h. From the train station to the hotel or conference venue, it is recommended that the attendants use Uber or taxi, which should take ca. 15 min.  

 

On the way back, the LIRABUS shuttle departs from Campinas bus station at 4:00 am, 5:30 am, 7:15 am, 9:15 am, 12:15 pm, 2:15 pm, 4:15 pm, 6:30 pm, and 8:00 pm (BRT). The estimated travel time to GRU airport is also 2 h, depending on traffic conditions.

Accommodation

Two hotels are within walking distance to the UNICAMP Convention Center, where ISP 2025 will take place:

VISA

International visitors are asked to check here whether they need a visa to travel to Brazil (info in PT and EN). We will be happy to issue an invitation letter to support your visa application, if needed.
