Prof. Dr. Anne Nilsson

Associate professor of Applied Nutrition at Lund University, Sweden. During the last two decades her research has dealt with investigating food features that may be used for development of functional foods for prevention of cardiometabolic diseases. The work include pioneer findings regarding the relationship between gut fermentation of dietary fibre and cardiometabolic variables. Nilsson perform clinical studies with the specific interest in the involvement of gut fermentation of dietary fibre in modulators of glycaemic regulation and the release of gut hormones.
