Submission procedure
The paper submission process for the 1st International Conference on Public Policy and Data Science and for the 2nd Conference on Data Science for the Social Sciences follows two stages:
- In the first, the authors submit abstracts of the works they wish to present, through the online submission system, following the link that will be available soon. Abstracts are accepted in the following languages: Portuguese, English or Spanish.
- These abstracts will be evaluated by referees who will give an opinion, which may be: Accepted or Rejected. Accepted abstracts proceed to the second phase. Rejected abstracts cannot be appealed.
- Accepted articles proceed to the second submission stage. In it, the authors must choose the way they want to present the work: oral communication or Poster. Those who choose to present as a Poster must follow the guidelines contained in the Poster Template. Stay tuned for Important Dates. For oral communications, no template is defined, although it is recommended that presentations be scheduled not to exceed a maximum time of 15 minutes.
- Each author can present a maximum of 2 (two) works (communication and/or poster) per registration. Therefore, those who wish to present more than 2 (two) works will need to make new registrations that allow this.
- All participants are invited to submit an Article, following the guidelines set out in the Paper Template, below. These will be made available in the Conference Proceedings Book.

- 21 February – Start of submission of abstracts
- 31 March -> April 17th – Deadline for the submission of abstracts [NEW DEADLINE]
- April 15th -> April 30th – Notification of acceptance of abstracts for paper or poster [NEW DEADLINE]
- April 30th - Pre-registration for the conference
- May 31 - Conference registration deadline
- June 10 - Deadline for paper submission
- June 19-23 - Conference dates
Submission Decisions
- The organizing committee will notify all authors of its decision by April 30, 2023.
- Accepted abstracts can be presented in oral communication or poster format
- Registration is mandatory to be included in the programme.
- Papers presented at the I International Conference on Public Policy and Data Science in Amazonas and II Conference on Data Science for the Social Sciences will be published online (PDF) with ISBN after the conference.
- The papers must be submitted according to the template available below:
