Milena Maria Tomaz de Oliveira

B.Sc. in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil (2013); M.Sc. in Plant Physiology from the Federal University of Viçosa (2015), Brazil; Ph.D. in Agronomy/Pitotecny from the Federal University of Ceará (2019), Brazil. Currently, Milena is a Postdoctoral researcher at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, under the supervision of Noemi Tel-Zur. She holds experience in Agronomy/Pitotechny with emphasis on crop plant physiology, biochemistry, physiology and post-harvest technology and molecular biology. During her Ph.D., she studied the effects of high radiation on the physiology, production and quality of the fruit of pitaya, using shading as the main strategy. At Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, she has studied the performance of hybrids regarding tolerance to high temperatures.
