Dr. Marcelo de Andrade Ferreira

Born in Abaeté - MG, Brazil, holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (1992), master's degree (1994) and doctorate (1997) in Animal Science also from the same University. He joined the Department of Animal Science at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco as an associate professor in 1997 in the area of Ruminant Production/Dairy Cattle Raising.

He is currently a full professor at the same university and is part of the Graduate Program in Animal Science at UFRPE where he supervises master and doctoral students. CNPq productivity scholarship holder - Level 1D. Research lines where he is most active. Develops almost all of his work in the evaluation of food and feeding systems, with emphasis on the use of forage palm in dairy cattle diet.
