Greetings

We are pleased to present another edition for CIET:EnPET (International Congress of Education and Technologies / Researchers in Education and Technologies Meeting) and with great news: it will be organized in collaboration with CIESUD:ESUD (International Congress of Distance Higher Education / Brazilian Congress of Higher Distance Education).  You are our special guest! We welcome everyone!

Organized by Grupo Horizonte (Studies and Research on Innovation in Education, Technologies and Languages Group) on UFSCar, in collaboration with SEaD (General Secretariat of Distance Education) by this institution, CIET:EnPET, since first edition, held ten years ago, is organized in a hybrid way, with virtual and face-to-face activities, having developed an expertise for organizing events of this nature and format. Also ESUD, for more than a decade has been promoted annually by UniRede (Association University in Network) in collaboration with public institutions of higher education (PIHE) with UniRede association.

Now in 2022, these two events, CIET:EnPET and CIESUD:ESUD, come together as spaces for dissemination and discussion of research results, practices and experiences (Brazilian and foreign experiences) related with digital technologies effects in classroom and distance learning process, shedding light on themes about "Education and Technologies" and "Distance Education" and encourage new ideas and creative solutions that point better paths to overcome typical difficulties  of these transition scenarios experienced in contemporary times. Especially in these pandemic times, these events constitute as renowned national and international initiatives to think about teaching-learning in face-to-face and distance education.

2022 CIET:EnPET| CIESUD:ESUD edition will be organized by UFSCar Horizonte research Group, in collaboration with other PIHE of São Paulo State (UFABC, UNESP, UNICAMP, UNIFESP, USP, UNIVESP and IFSP) and some private HEIs (MACKENZIE and UNOESTE) involved with the subject and Horizonte`s partners Group. Event is scheduled for October/November 2022, with the expectation of having two stages: virtual and face-to-face – enabling a wide stakeholders from all over Brazil and also from other countries participation. Face-to-face stage will be confirmed during second half of the year, depending on sanitary conditions imposed by Covid-19 pandemic.

In this sense, it´s clear how your participation will be fundamental to contribute and make this events 2022 edition, a rich opportunity for discussions, reflections and exchanges of experiences and scientific knowledge produced on Distance Education and/or Education and Technologies.

Conjugates, these events (CIET:EnPET| CIESUD:ESUD) seek provide in the area community (researchers, university professors and basic education network, technical-administrative and graduate and undergraduate students) integration and sharing actions by researchers/institutions carry out to promote improvement in teaching-learning in DE or face-to-face, through incorporation of digital information and communication technologies. This event also seeks to promote actions, involving teaching, research, extension and innovation, with contribution for improve educational quality, production and socialization of scientific knowledge, capable of providing improvements in people's living conditions.

Specifically, CIET:EnPET| CIESUD:ESUD|2022 intend to:

• a) Contribute for research promotion, reflections and proposals of collaborative work, promoting partnerships between researchers and/or between institutions wich make and think about DE and/or education mediated by emerging technologies;
• b) Disseminate practices and experiences, in order to socialize specialized knowledge produced in education and technologies area`s, as well as in DE;
• c) Consolidate exchanges between Brazilian and foreign researchers, enabling exchanges between their varied experiences; and
• d) Collaborate for academic and scientific coaching for professionals involved, promoting and disseminating developed knowledge in this area to improve  education quality.
• e) Contribute for national educate policies consolidation in Brazil, with relationship emphasis between education and technologies into distance education modality.

 

As indirect objectives, more with pedagogical emphases or scientific coaching, are also in CIET:EnPET| CIESUD:ESUD|2022 scope:

• a) Promote reflections on management actions, teaching, technologies/ teaching materials and learning, seeking understand teaching and learning processes carried out using technological resources and innovative approaches;
• b) Socialize specialized knowledge, resulting from research developed in Brazil and foreign, with views to improving teaching-learning and scientific-technological production quality in this champ;
• c) Generate and disseminate/share pedagogical strategies related to teaching, technological, methodological, social, cultural, environmental and scientific issues in this area;
• d) Consolidate exchange between Brazilian and foreign researchers/educators groups, about their experiences in educational technology and in DE;
• e) Analyze direct and indirect implications on implementation of courses by DE and by incorporation of emerging technologies and approaches within the educational environment; and
• f) Promote partnerships and collective conversations from nature and research development involving educational today phenomenon, encouraging by network collaboration establishment between educators/researchers interested on improving the education quality, enriched by start discussions and reflections in CIET:EnPET| CIESUD:ESUD|2022 and later developed in DE experiences and educational technology.

In this way, CIET:EnPET | CIESUD:ESUD|2022 event, seeks to constitute itself as a dissemination and discussion space for research results, practices and experiences (Brazilian and foreign experiences) related with digital technologies effects in classroom and distance teaching-learning process, shedding light on this central theme and promoting new ideas and creative solutions that point better ways to overcome typical difficulties of these scenarios in transition experienced in contemporary times,  including consequences derived from these pandemic times.

 

 

Directly and undirectly, CIET:EnPET | CIESUD:ESUD|2022 events, will contribute to encourage research, reflections and proposals for collaborative work, promoting partnerships between researchers and/or between institutions that make and think DE and/or education mediated by emerging technologies. Thus, through collective debate about teaching-learning process mediated by digital technologies, this events contribute for academic-scientific professionals coaching involved, promote and disseminate knowledge developed in this area and contribute for improvement education quality (including in research terms) today.

This represents diverse contributions to target audience for event, conformed by researchers and teachers of higher education, basic education, posgraduate and undergraduate students, as well as managers, tutors, center's coordinators and instructional designers and another professionals (and people from society in general) with interest by event central themes: Distance Education and Education and Technologies. In this sense, CIET:EnPET| CIESUD:ESUD|2022 will be consolidate exchange between Brazilian and foreign researchers, enabling exchanges related with their experiences.
