Jose Antonio Rabi

Jose Rabi has BSc in Applied Physics (University of São Paulo, 1991-1995), MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Technological Institute of Aeronautics, 1996-1998), PhD in Mechanical Engineering (State University of Campinas, 1998-2002), Postdoctoral Fellowship in computational modeling of transport phenomena in porous media (University of Calgary, 2003-2004), Research Fellowship in computational modeling of food thermal processing (CEMAGREF - now INRAE, 2009-2010), and Habilitation in computational modeling of agroindustrial processes (University of São Paulo, 2012). He was Visiting Professor in mathematical epidemiology at Eotvos Lorand University (2024) and Fulbright Chair in Interdisciplinary Studies at Purdue University (2025). He is affiliated to the Department of Biosystems Engineering of the University of Sao Paulo, and his research interests include computational modeling of agroindustrial biosystems via lattice Boltzmann method as well as in-silico epidemiology and in-silico oncology. He currently teaches Transport Phenomena, Numerical Methods, and Operations Research.
