XV IberoAmerican Congress on Food Engineering
"Food engineering providing food security for a transitioning world"
September, 22-25th, 2026
The XV Ibero-American Congress on Food Engineering (CIBIA XV) is promoted by the Ibero-American Society of Food Engineering (SIBIA) and organized by faculty members from the School of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA) at the University of São Paulo (USP) and the School of Food Engineering (FEA) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).
This event is supported by the "Food Research Center" (FoRC), coordinated by FCF-USP, one of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPID) funded by FAPESP (2013/07914-8), and by the "Science Center for Development: Solutions for Post-Consumer Waste - Packaging and Products" (CCD Circula), coordinated by ITAL, also funded by FAPESP (2021/11967-6).
CIBIA XV aims to discuss and debate current topics situated at the frontier of the state of the art in Food Engineering and related fields. We expect to hold a highly dynamic event, attracting young professionals to discuss important aspects of the transition we are experiencing alongside senior researchers, and to identify key points that can form part of a public policy proposal for the Food sector.
The official languages of the event are: English, Spanish, and Portuguese, without simultaneous translation.
The event will be held in person at the USP Butantã campus, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
