Ricardo da S. Torres

Ricardo da S. Torres holds a degree in Computer Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science at the State University of Campinas. He was a professor at the State University of Campinas from 2005 to 2019, and is currently a professor at the Wageningen University and Research (Netherlands) and also a professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. His main research involves multimedia analysis, multimedia retrieval, machine learning, databases, among others. He is the author and co-author of more than 200 articles, 8 published book chapters and a member of the IEEE, which is the largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of society.
