Alberto Leardini

Alberto Leardini, President of the International Society of Biomechanics, holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electronic Engineering at University of Bologna (Italy) and a PhD in Orthopedic Engineering from the University of Oxford (England). Since 1990, he has worked at the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute, where he held positions as coordinator of the Specialized Reference Center “Foot and Ankle Biomechanics” and currently Director of the Movement Analysis Laboratory. He is the author of more than 200 high-impact international journals and author of more than 30 books, inventor of 3 patents and reviewer of leading international journals.
