Prof. Dr. Hector Koolen

Hector Koolen has a PhD in Chemistry and works at the Amazonas State University, Brazil. His research is dedicated to multidisciplinary approaches for investigating different aspects of the chemistry of natural products from microorganisms and plants of the Amazon region. Principally, these studies utilize mass spectrometry as the main technique to reveal the complex compositions of natural matrices. Currently, Dr. Koolen is an associate editor for Frontiers in Natural Products and an editorial board member for Food Research International.
