QUEZIA CASS

Quezia B Cass is a full Professor at the Chemistry Department of Federal University of São Carlos. Separation of drugs plays an important role in her research projects and a number of methods have been developed for studies of achiral and chiral drugs in biological fluids or environmental matrices by multidimensional liquid chromatography. Immobilized enzymes in solid support for ligands screening in natural or synthetic libraries by affinity-based assays has been, lately, one of her main research interests.  She authored more than 180 articles; supervised more than 55 Masters and PhD candidates, 16 research fellows and 25 undergraduate research students. The research group has been mostly composed of women and has contributed for the development of cutting-edge analytical techniques. She has presented more than 50 seminars in national and/or internationally recognized conferences.
