JOYCE KELLY DO ROSÁRIO DA SILVA

Ph. D in Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of Pará (Brazil) and post-doctorate at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (USA). She is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology of UFPA and Affiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. In addition, she is Productivity scholarship of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the first woman in the Amazon Region to be laureated with the prize "For Women in Science" promoted by UNESCO, L’Oréal and ABC (2013). In the last ten years, she has published around 80 scientific papers in the field of Chemistry of Natural Products, especially on essential oils and aromas.
