JOSEAN FECHINE TAVARES

B.S. in Pharmacy, Federal University of Paraíba (2003), M.S. in Natural and Synthetic Bioactive Products (2004), Ph.D in Natural and Synthetic Bioactive Products (2007). Dr. Tavares’ area of expertise is pharmacy with emphasis in phytochemistry, including mainly: extraction, isolation, purification of secondary metabolites and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance use to identify and/or elucidate Natural Products Chemical structures. Currently, Dr. Tavares works as an Associate III Professor of Health Science Center, Pharmaceutical Science department and he is in charge of Spectroscopic Methods Applied to Drug Analysis class. He worked as coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Natural and Bioactive Synthetic Products (CAPES 6), from 2014 to 2019. He has more than 140 scientific articles published on indexed periodics and supervised 12 M.S. and 8 Ph.D students. Dr. Tavares is also a member of Chemical Brazilian Society, Pharmaceutical Science Brazilian Association, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Users Association and Research Productivity Scholarship Level 2 of CNPQ
