Special Session 5 - Processes of resistance and creation in the daily life of schools, nurseries and preschools

This special session led by the Elementary Education WG, the Education of Children from 0 to 6 years old, the Literacy, Reading and Writing WG and the Everyday Education WG – Ethics, Aesthetics and Policies proposes a reflection on the ways in which research in Education contributes to understanding the processes of resistance, insurgency and creation in schools, daycare centers and preschools. Based on lived practices, teachers' narratives and unique experiences, we seek to highlight the powers of the daily lives of/in schools, daycare centers and preschools as space-times of inventions. We are interested in highlighting the small gestures and tactics and the political-affective-pedagogical crossings that constitute the lives of subjects in schools, daycare centers and preschools. More than denouncing absences, we want to make visible creative presences, ways of doing things that escape the norms and reinvent education in its margins and/or centers. Pedagogical practices, therefore, appear as a scenario of intense discussion and, therefore, a territory of struggle, sensitivity, affection and power.
