Special Session 4 - The consequences of the tax reform for education and the working class

In December 2023, the National Congress enacted Constitutional Amendment 132, which changed the National Tax System. The implementation of the changes requires regulations for their effectiveness, however, the reform brings significant changes extinguishing and altering tax models that make up part of the financing of education. In addition, changes of such magnitude suggest impacts on the lives of the working class, which is still the one that bears the most tax burden in the country. To discuss the current scenario, the WGs: State and Educational Policy, Labor and Education and Higher Education Policy, invite experts on the subject to understand the challenges that are posed.
