Special Session 6 - The right to Education in times of neotechnicism and privatization in teacher training and work

Neotechnicism and privatization have treated the educational process as a commodity and sedimented the ideological maintenance of the society of capital, of how to subordinate and commodify the teacher's performance to the dictates of processes, teaching methods and technologies. The centrality of techniques and technologies in the organization of the learning and learning processes, with a focus on measurable results and the control of the educational process are nefarious actions that expand the exclusionary processes and ensure the status quo. The right to education is impacted by the precariousness and commodification of teacher training and work, inserted in the context of platform and data capitalism. This configures a new technological colonialism, deepening inequalities and compromising educational autonomy. It is necessary to resume the discussion on the right to Education in order to engage actions of resistance and construction of a socially referenced and radically just society.
