The work commissioned from ANPEd's WG21 in 2025 will pay tribute to the intellectual path of Prof. Dr. Paulo Vinicius Baptista da Silva, professor at UFPR, where he belonged to the Education Sector and served as Superintendent of Inclusion, Affirmative Policies and Diversity, at UFPR. Paulo was Coordinator of WG 21 – Education and Ethnic-Racial Relations (2010-2011), deputy coordinator of the same WG in 2013, and was in the management of ANPEd, Second Secretary (2019-2021) and alternate member of the Fiscal Council (2021-2023). In the field of research, she worked in the ethnic-racial scientific field in education research, contributing to the themes of Affirmative Action, Ethnic-Racial Diversities in Textbooks, among other debates. With this Commissioned Work, we seek to endorse African-based practices and remember the people who came before us.
