How Curriculum Research Thinks About Ultraconservative Dynamics In Education

The choice of the theme 'Neoconservatism in the world and education in the face of socio-political-environmental violence', to be provoked at the 42nd National Meeting of ANPEd & WERA Focal Meeting, takes place in the midst of a global scenario marked by the advance of ultraconservative forces that profit from the dissemination of hate speeches that feed the naturalization of violence that crosses bodies, territories and knowledge. In this context, in which the future of life on the planet is threatened by multiple crises — political, social, environmental, and epistemic — the Commissioned Work is proposed as a space-time for reflection on the ways in which we have faced such reactionary movements in curriculum research. Bringing together researchers committed to the defense of democracy and the production of other forms of life and knowledge to foster exchanges that strengthen us as a network, expanding possibilities of confrontation in the educational field.
