Evaluation Of Educational Policies: Exploration Of Official Databases And Construction Of Indicators

Anchored in contributions from the literature related to the evaluation of educational policies, the mini-course proposes the analysis of possibilities for evaluating Basic Education, through the exploration of official sources that aggregate data in the public domain and carry out their periodic dissemination. This theme is opportune in times of evaluation and elaboration of new municipal education plans. Given the time limit, it privileges information from Early Childhood Education for analysis. It is organized around the following topics: 1) Evaluation as an expression of notions about the quality of education; 2) Public sources of information that support educational and school management in monitoring the execution of policies and programs; 3) Dimensions of quality of education and construction of indicators.
