Between lands and bodies: Environmental Education, Ecofeminism and Resistances

The mini-course proposes an immersion in the intersections between Environmental Education, ecofeminism and resistance practices in the territories. From a decolonizing and participatory approach, the epistemological roots of Environmental Education in Brazil and its implications for pedagogical practices aimed at socio-environmental justice and gender equity will be explored. Case studies that highlight situations of environmental conflict and resistance by women and traditional peoples will be discussed. The course aims to promote reflection on bodies and territories as spaces of dispute, care and insurgency, in the light of an ecofeminist and decolonial perspective.
