Introduction To African Philosophical Thought: New Educational Paths

African philosophical thought is a mighty river with fresh waters that can promote multiple directions until it flows into the great ocean. Thus, we cannot perceive it in a single, unilateral, antidialogical way, but as a broad horizon that addresses a feeling-thinking about the cultural diversity of Africa. Over time, their representatives have been marginalized and underestimated, being placed in the figure of non-humans by the Western view. Which corroborated the silencing of this ancestral thinking. Taking care of oneself, taking care of the human and non-human other, the presence of orality, the central importance of community, musicality and other axial axes are counterpoints and alternatives to the Western way of thinking.  Identifying, studying and analyzing them helps to broaden the understanding of human relationships, which includes in a dialogical way: of individuals among themselves that generates community and the active presence of ancestry, and its developments.
