Titular professor of Federal University of Santa Maria in Brazil, he is author of more than 400 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals (h index=55), with more than 17,000 citations. His work has been awarded on several occasions in different research categories. Over 100 opening and closing conferences, invited conferences and lectures in national and international scientific meetings. Member of Scientific Committees in several international conferences, and chairman of several international and Brazilian meetings. Érico is member of many national and international scientific associations as RSC, IUPAC, China-Latin America Agricultural Education and Research Innovation Alliance, and European Society of Sonochemistry. He was scientific director of the Rio Grande do Sul State Funding Agency (FAPERGS) and currently he is titular member of the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency and elected member of the Superior Committee of FAPERGS and Consulting Committee of the Brazilian Society of Chemistry.
