Tatiana was born in Porto Alegre, where she took a technical course in chemistry and graduated in Industrial Chemistry from UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul). Then he moved to Florianópolis, where he did his master's degree in Analytical Chemistry. She gave up chemistry, got married, had a child and returned to do her doctorate also in Analytical Chemistry, also at UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina). Under the supervision of Prof. Adilson Curtius, her doctoral advisor, she did another 2 years of postdoctoral research and then stayed another 2 years at UFSC as a substitute professor. In 2008, she moved to Rio de Janeiro to work as a research professor at PUC-Rio (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro). She has been at PUC-Rio for 17 years, is currently an associate professor, a Scientist of Our State scholarship holder at FAPERJ and a CNPq level C researcher.
