Lecture topics: ''Challenges in Environmental Analysis by Atomic Spectrometry''

 

Holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry and a master's and doctorate in Inorganic Analytical Chemistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She is currently a full professor in the Chemistry Department at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) and a permanent professor in the post-graduation program in chemistry. At UFES, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Analytical Chemistry and coordinates the Atomic Spectrometry Laboratory (LEA), in addition to leading the Atomic Spectrometry research group. She has experience in Analytical Chemistry, focusing her work on the determination of trace elements using spectrometric techniques, such as AAS, ICP-OES and ICP-MS in different types of samples, with emphasis on environmental and petroleum samples. She has supervised 18 master's dissertations, five doctoral theses and three postdoctoral internships, in addition to supervising many undergraduate and dissertation students.

She currently supervises four master's students, three doctoral students and four undergraduate students. She has over 80 articles published in indexed journals, 2 - chapter books and many papers presented at scientific events. She is a researcher at level 2 of CNPq.
