Andre Monteiro Paschoal

André holds a B.Sc. in Physical and Biomolecular Sciences, an M.Sc. in Biomolecular Physics from the São Carlos Institute of Physics. In 2020, he obtained a Ph.D. in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology at FFCLRP - USP), with an internship at the University of Leiden (Leiden University Medical Center), the Netherlands. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, and at the Institute of Radiology at Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine. Professor at the Institute of Physics "Gleb Wataghin" at the University of Campinas - IFGW - UNICAMP. Since 2013, André works with Magnetic Resonance Imaging applied to neuroimaging. His research focuses on the improvement and optimization of acquisition sequences in Magnetic Resonance. In particular, he has in-depth experience in weighted imaging methods in cerebral blood perfusion, diffusion, functional magnetic resonance imaging and brain tissue relaxation time mapping. Since 2020, he is part of the Open Source Initiative for Perfusion Imaging (OSIPI - https://www.osipi.org/), acting as one of the members for Task Force 6.1 - ASL Challenges (https://www.osipi.org/task -force-6-1/), which acts in the dissemination of ASL image processing methods through the organization of challenges. He is also a regular member of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM-www.ismrm.org).
